The Ocularist is the first ophthalmic practice specialized in making custom-made artificial eyes for patients who have lost one or both eyes since 2011. The Ocularist in 2018 has since opened her doors to General ophthalmic consultation, with our team of Optometrists, Ocularists and opticians.

The Ocularist is dedicated to providing support services for ophthalmic practices in terms of sale of ophthalmic products. This has enabled us provide other eye facilities with ophthalmic consumables for eye surgeries. These products include
Intraocular Lens; this is an artificial lens made of a biocompatible material usually put in the eye after removal of cataract (opaque natural lens).
Ophthalmic sutures; these include absorbable and non absorbable sutures for closing incisions in the eye.
Orbital Implants; these are spherical balls made of biocompatible materials, these balls are put in an empty eye socket to replace some volume of the lost natural globe, this also helps with better movement of the custom made artificial eye, and also prevent collapse of the globe.
Conformers; these are structured shell like biocompatible materials put in after surgery of removing the eyes and implanting the spherical ball. They hold the space during healing of the socket, to enable the Ocularist make a customized artificial eye.
Optical instruments and machines; at the Ocularist, we are also dedicated to meeting your optical needs, in terms of clinic equipments and machines. These range from handheld equipments to table top machines.
